Our curriculum at the Early Learning Centre is built around the national framework, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to guide our educators in delivering programs which provide the children with essential learning and life skills.
In addition, we also ensure that these programs are balanced with teachings in creativity, exploring, physical activity and most importantly, fun. The team at Oakleigh South strive to provide an environment which nurtures and encourages learning across all spectrums, gives your child the confidence in themselves to move to the next level and achieves their full potential across all areas of development and education.
An essential step in all children’s transition into primary school, our Kindergarten program provides your child with an accredited Early Childhood Teacher and a learning environment that introduces classroom structure and the learn through play philosophy used in their first year of Primary school.
Our curriculum in the Kindergarten Classroom is built around the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). The VEYLDF emphasises the importance of supporting children and families transitions as they move within and across services throughout the early childhood years.
At Early Learning Centre Oakleigh South, we understand that the transition to ‘big school’ is a big step for all of the family which is why we ensure we maintain regular communication and updates and instill children, parents and carers with the skills to embrace the journey ahead.
We have a comprehensive transition to school program encouraging families to be actively involved in their child’s learning and transitions.
Our childcare centre focuses solely on early education and has designed a centre that embraces the learning and developmental milestones of children aged from 6 weeks old through to 5 years.
